Summer, 2023
Looking back on summer 2023 and the data sculpture "Hidden Emissions". As part of an interdisciplinary module, we students had the opportunity to create a data sculpture for the @designbiennalezuerich within four weeks.
To create the data sculpture, we used various Adobe programs, Cinema4D and Rhino. The wood was worked with big saws, sanders, brushes and paint.
PROCESS
The topic was CO2 emissions, which are indirectly made possible by the Swiss financial center. As a group, we developed an interesting data story and the corresponding visualization concept. We then realized our idea as a physical data sculpture made of wood and presented our project at the vernissage of the Design Biennale.
